The Fat Radish

How lucky are we to have The Fat Radish in our neighborhood? Not only can O and I depend on this place for reliably juicy bacon cheeseburgers and perfectly savory Bloody Marys, it oozes charm and everyone who works there is just plain nice. It's known for showcasing fresh market fare in delicious, whimsy ways with a decidedly English bent (kedgeree, anyone?). Come to think of it, The Fat Radish is very much like the hipster downtown-living younger British sister of ABC Kitchen. ;)

We thought this was a great place to bring our friends from Germany for a typical New York brunch experience. Solid food, fun people watching, not to mention the relaxed, breezy whitewashed decor that I'm in love with - especially the leather pulls on the drawers! Did you peep that? ;)

PS: Order the duck fat fries.
