My Favorite Fleur de Sel: Le Saunier De Camargue
I'm alive! Lots of things keeping me busy these days, and it seems harder and harder to stop and enjoy the simplest of life's treats - like warm buttered bread topped with beautiful, crunchy salt.
Maldon may be the darling sea salt in the world these days, with just about everyone singing its praise, but I really wanted to share another quality salt that I adore: Le Saunier de Camargue. I picked it up on our last trip to Paris from the neighborhood Monoprix (seriously, nothin' fancy) and of course I return to find it at the more upmarket food boutiques here in New York. Well, well. At any rate, this fleur de sel delivers on all fronts - nice crunch, pure flavor and it's just plain cute to have around in your kitchen. ;) Generously sprinkle on your own buttered slices, grilled items, or really anywhere your food needs a little oomph.
